Bruges

 

Bruges is a medieval city, designed by UNESCO as a world heritage city. It feels like this city popped out from fairytale with its cobbled alleyways, charming squares and beautiful architecture.Bruges has a compact size and can easily be explored on foot, by boat or a horse carriage.

In the centre of the city is beautiful traffic free market square renovated in 1996.The is square is dominated by 13th century Belfry but you can also explore the other fascinating buildings like provincial palace rebuilt in 1887 in NeoGothic style and the status of Jan Breydel and Peter de Coninck, heroes that played major role in the Battle of the Golden Spurs in 1302.

Belfry tower is 83m above ground and the view from the top is breath taking as you can see the whole town.
