Volendam is a town in North Holland and is most popular tourist attraction, well known for its old fishing boats and traditional clothing still worn by some of the residents. Volendam also features a museum about its history and clothing style, visitors can have their pictures taken in traditional Dutch costumes.There is a regular Ferry connection to Markens, another famous dutch landmark. If you are  a cheese lover, there is a traditional cheese factory, where you can buy cheese and also see whole process of making the famous dutch cheese.

Zaanseschans displays the traditional architecture of green wooden houses and 3 functioning windmills as well as craftman's workshops which are open to visitors. You can go inside the windmills and apart of knowing how does it works, you can take memorable pictures.
